Acoustic. Riding a steady disco drumbeat throughout, opening with extended banter where the band lists off their crew. Unlike the heavy vibe of traditional Magmas, it flows into a lighter, psychedelic Silver Cord jam with lyrics.

A stylish intro kicks off a funkier than usual Magma. A tight first verse and jam give way to playful springy flourishes in the bridge. An energetic and powerful second jam that strays from the usual course of Magma follows, with creative guitar lines from Stu and Joey dominating before settling back into the verse. The outro is taken to a familiar double time intensity, but again, unique guitar work from Stu and Joey lend it a distinct character and sound.

Transitioned into from Sad Pilot with a Rats in the Sky intro, this Magma is a bit heavier and messier than its counterparts from summer ‘24. A standout performance from Cavs particularly as his drumming steers the band heavier and heavier. The outro is taken to its usual heights, but as it falls out the band changes key to E and transitions smoothly into Rats in the Sky.

A confident and ripping performance of Magma. Tight and creative jams that highlight the bands guitar work are matched with some of Ambrose’s more inspired saxophone playing. The end is taken to unusual lengths as the band cools the signature double time jam down before launching into the one of the heaviest outros Magma has ever seen.
